Job Description

Job Overview We are on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Expeditor Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you'll be the crucial link between the kitchen and the serving staff, ensuring that every dish is prepared, plated, and delivered with precision and speed. Your expertise in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety will help us maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Duties Coordinate between kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate assembly of dishes for service. Verify that all food items meet presentation standards before they are sent out to guests or servers. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, garnishing, and portioning ingredients to support chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food handling and safety protocols. Support the team during busy service periods by expediting orders quickly and efficiently. Help ensure all menu items are prepared according to specified recipes, including special dietary requirements. Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning ideas and ingredient management to optimize workflow. Experience Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous. Background in food industry settings such as restaurants, catering, or fine dining establishments is highly valued. Strong culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential. Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and food presentation enhances your fit for this role. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
