Job Description

About the Role This is a hands-on, fast-paced customs operations role supporting daily U.S. import clearances. The position involves preparing customs entries, reviewing commercial documentation, identifying discrepancies, and working within strict regulatory deadlines. This role is best suited for individuals who: Thrive in structured, rule-based environments Can manage repetitive, detail-oriented work Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Are comfortable receiving direct, constructive feedback Value accuracy and efficiency in their work What You'll Do Prepare and transmit customs entries using ABI software Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and transport documents for accuracy Verify country of origin, valuation, and importer information Identify documentation discrepancies and communicate them clearly Track clearance status and follow up through final release Perform high-volume data entry with a strong emphasis on accuracy Manage multiple shipments simultaneously under time-sensitive conditions Performance Expectations Consistent handling of daily transaction volume Adherence to strict deadlines with limited margin for error Openness to ongoing feedback during the training period Accountability for accuracy and continuous improvement This role requires a high level of attention to detail and comfort working in a structured, deadline-driven environment. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail Fast and accurate data entry skills Ability to follow established procedures and checklists Capability to work independently after training Reliable, punctual, and responsive Prior customs, logistics, or international trade experience is a plus, but not required.
