General Clerk A - Expeditor - Transportation

Pay Range:

$16.11- $24.17 SUMMARY Performs duties which may be complex in nature and involve the application of standard procedures to a variety of details requiring some independent analysis. Occasionally exercises judgment in the selection and application of data. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of department and company policies and procedures in dealing with assigned area. Minimum supervision is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains records and prepares reports which may be complex in nature, or require knowledge of spreadsheet or database applications. Performs clerical tasks requiring a thorough knowledge of departmental area and corporate policies and procedures. Answers telephone inquiries, delivers messages, sorts and distributes departmental mail. Resolves nonroutine questions; refers questions with policy and procedure implications to supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School or equivalent 1+ years office experience
