Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Weekend Supervisor to support our assisted living memory care community. This position is responsible for supervising staff and operations on weekends and will be responsible for shift coverage to ensure safe and consistent resident care. The Weekend Supervisor will cover open shifts as needed , ensuring proper staffing levels are maintained at all times. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, flexibility, and a passion for working with seniors especially those with memory care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine resident checks (at least hourly or as directed by Management) Ensure residents' daily needs and activities are met Promote effective communication between staff, residents, and families. Help resolve concerns and foster a positive, home-like environment Provide leadership and oversight to weekend staff, ensuring policies and procedures are followed Promote a positive image of the community to residents, families, and the public Give tours when management or administration is unavailable and collect accurate information for follow-up Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and relay accurate messages promptly
Staff Scheduling Coverage Responsibilities:
Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts, including weekends and high-need times Cover open shifts as needed to maintain safe staffing levels and continuity of care Manage call-offs by quickly identifying and securing replacement staff Align staffing with resident care needs, ensuring proper coverage during peak care times (e.g., mornings, medication passes) Serve as a communication hub between staff and management regarding schedules, updates, and shift assignments Ensure compliance with staffing regulations, including maintaining appropriate staff- to-resident ratios and accurate records Monitor and manage overtime and labor costs while maintaining quality care standards
Staff Supervision, TrainingDevelopment:
Assist in training and supervising Staff , ensuring staff are knowledgeable in their duties. Ensuring staffing complies with facility policies and state requirements
Schedule:
Weekend coverage required Must be flexible with scheduling, as this position requires stepping in to work shifts when staff call in or coverage is needed Shift times will vary based on staffing needs and may include days, evenings, or overnight coverage and/or holidays. Weekend shift differential pay offered.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required ACMA (Advanced Certified Medical Assistant) certification preferred or required Experience working in assisted living and/or memory care environments Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care practices Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and manage multiple priorities Experience with scheduling software and healthcare staffing coordination preferred Must be reachable and available at all times for on-call and emergency staffing needs
