Job Description

As part of the team, you will be pursuing the most advanced, innovative, and cost-effective treatment options, so that our patients receive personalized, custom care best suited to their situation. We are seeking a highly organized, detailed-oriented scheduling coordinator to support our fast-paced, full-scale oncology practice. This role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination of patient appointments across clinic visits, radiology, and laboratory services. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for oncology providers, infusion services, imaging, and laboratory testing
  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-up visits
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff, radiology departments, and laboratory services to ensure timely coordination of care
  • Manage scheduling changes, urgent add-ons, and rescheduling needs with professionalism and efficiency
  • Verify patient demographic and insurance information when scheduling services
  • Maintain accuracy within the EMR system
  • Ensure authorizations are in place when required prior to scheduling advanced imaging or specialty services
  • Provide exceptional, compassionate service to patients navigating complex treatment plans
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical scheduling experience required (oncology experience preferred)
  • Experience scheduling radiology and/or laboratory services strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
