Help us reach new heights and receive the respect, rewards and recognition you deserve. As a Wheel Operations Specialist your essential job functions include: Launch New Sites (60%)
Pre-Site Launch :
Be on site at least two days before the site launch. Assist with identifying and clarifying roles on the launch team. Train and coach technicians Ensure supplies are ordered and storage and ready to deliver the product. Define standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed. First few days - 2 weeks of
Site Launch:
Level set what repairs we will and will not repair with the launch team and customer. Work with customer to understand and set expectations. As a high-quality technician, produce the first few weeks to ensure the initial impression is excellent (High quality Wheel production) Repair wheel cosmetic damages (curb and road rash, peeling, scrapes, gouges, oxidation and bent wheels) using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids. The process involves removing the wheels, repairing them in your mobile truck and placing them back on the vehicle. Tasks include painting surfaces, inspecting wheels, prepping, and buffing defects, mixing colors and finishing. Ensure technicians are using quality and standard operating procedures, maximizing vehicle flow, etc. Be the technical expert for wheel service at the launch site. Assess, demonstrate and train/coach up technicians who are at the launch site. Train Operations Coordinator, Fixed Operations Manager, Lead Technician on standard operating procedures Participate in weekly Division Project Team call updates. Complete a follow up check-in after a week or two with the launch team and local technicians. Troubleshoot to Sustain Service Excellence (20%) Ensure customer production expectations are being met at the launch site: 1) Quality, 2) Production, 3) Workflow Integration Proactively identify wheel technician related service gaps Develop and implement solutions to solve customer issues and areas where we are not delivering service excellence. Improve Team's Ability to Execute SOPs and Technology (30%) Assess, develop and train technicians to utilize high quality and standard operating procedures, maximizing vehicle flow, current technology, etc. Proactively develop and implement SOPs if none exist or they are not current. Actively coach up technicians who are not able to perform at the expected service level. Train Operations Coordinator, Fixed Operations Manager, Lead Technician on wheel-related standard operating procedures. Serve as SME Technician for the Division (20%) Be the division expert on wheel-related processes, technology, service expectations, etc. On a limited basis, provide expert-level wheel technician support across the division. Provide input on company-level wheel training needs, methods, etc. Other Duties as Assigned Competencies Required Wheel Technician Expertise Initiative Teamwork and Collaboration Customer Focus Communication Skills Process and Planning Orientation Position Requirements 5+ years of auto wheel repair experience Auto painting experience or collision repair technical school training preferred but not required Vision abilities including close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Great communication skills to interact with customers Manual dexterity for repetitive-motion tasks Strong work ethic, self-motivation and the ability to work independently Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather Valid driver's license and good driving record Minimum of 2 years in a position requiring customer interactions Physical Job Requirements Viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen. Physical stamina to frequently kneel, bend and squat, as well as lift up to 45 pounds. Drug Policy All applicants being considered for employment must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The starting compensation is expected to be: $75,480 - $94,248 We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
