This role supports purchasing and operations by ensuring timely material flow in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. The Material Expeditor monitors supplier deliveries, follows up on at-risk shipments, and communicates material status to internal teams to help prevent shortages and keep production running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone starting or growing a career in supply chain. We are willing to train the right individual who brings strong organizational skills, urgency, and a desire to learn. Key Responsibilities Monitor open purchase orders and confirm supplier delivery commitments Follow up on late or at-risk shipments to prevent material shortages Track shipments and confirm receipt and delivery status Maintain past-due reports and support recovery actions Communicate material status to Buyers, Planning, and Operations Escalate urgent supply risks as needed Improve visibility to inbound materials and delivery performance Support Buyers with order follow-up and status updates Qualifications Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Clear communication and professional work approach Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel Willingness to learn purchasing and manufacturing processes

Preferred:

Experience in manufacturing, logistics, customer service, or administrative support Familiarity with ERP or supply chain systems
