Job Description

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient production schedules to meet customer delivery dates, optimize resources, and minimize downtime. This role works closely with production, procurement, inventory and sales to ensure that scheduling aligns with capacity and material availability.
Responsibilities:
1.
Scheduling:
o Develop production schedule considering capacity planning, labor, waste, and quality standards. o Run daily scheduling and production planning meetings with all team leads and quoting specialists. o Oversee creation, distribution, and processing of all jobs based on customer sales orders. o Review all time punches related to the production jobs daily and verifying the adherence to the company standard and reporting errors/issues to the Team Leader(s) and Production Management. o Ensure communication of schedule so all staff members are aware of current and future workloads for their area 2.
Communication and Collaboration:
o Partner with Purchasing/Procurement/Receiving to review component and tooling due dates and lead times to maintain schedule and on time delivery. o Work with Quotation Specialists and Team leads to develop and maintain a production plan for scheduling purposes. o Work with accounting and production management to process cycle counts consistently and accurately via the company's Inventory Control Procedure. o Communicate with the Production Team and Management about Job issues/Part delays/Upcoming orders. 3.
Data and Reporting:
o Update operation times and BOM's prior to processing jobs in the ERP system and verifying expected labor costs align with the estimated labor costs. o Gather and package all required data needed for production including all assembly instructions, inspection requirements, production flow, etc. o Review requirements, travelers, work instructions, with the Factory Logix programmers to ensure all required documents are loaded into the system for production use. o Review and update Quoting Specialists with production risks for future quotes o High School Diploma or GED o 2-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling or manufacturing coordination. o Experience in Electronics Manufacturing industry - preferred. o Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times and capacity planning. o General working knowledge of ERP systems. o Exceptional organizational and communication skills. o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
