Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating surgical appointments, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and communicated effectively. This position requires strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of medical scheduling processes, as well as familiarity with insurance verification and medical office systems. Duties Schedule surgical procedures in accordance with physician availability and patient needs. Verify patient insurance information, ensuring coverage for scheduled surgeries. Maintain accurate patient records and files Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and appointment details. Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate schedules and ensure efficient workflow. Process incoming calls related to surgery scheduling and provide excellent customer service. Payment collections Utilize ICD-10 codes for accurate documentation and billing processes. Assist in the management of medical office tasks as needed. Requirements Previous experience in medical administrative support or as a medical receptionist is preferred. Familiarity with surgical scheduling practices and procedures, preferably in orthopedics. Proficient in using medical office systems. Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Pay:
$17.04 - $27.95 per hour
