Military & Commercial Fasteners Location:
MCF, On-site at 11 Grumbacher Road York, PA Position Summary The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, owning, and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure alignment between customer demand, material availability, and plant capacity. This role drives schedule stability, reliable order confirmations, and on-time delivery performance. Working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, and Customer Service, the Master Scheduler ensures operational excellence and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Own and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) at the manufacturing level. Translate demand and supply plans into a feasible production schedule that balances customer commitments, inventory targets, materials, and capacity. Confirm and communicate customer order dates based on the MPS and capacity analysis. Monitor schedule adherence, on-time delivery (OTD), and stability; identify risks and drive corrective actions. Collaborate with Supply Planners, Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Customer Service to resolve scheduling conflicts and balance priorities. Analyze load vs. capacity and adjust schedules to optimize labor and machine utilization while minimizing bottlenecks. Manage production orders and reschedules in the Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system. Generate and manage purchase orders for secondary and outsourced processes based on the production schedule, capacity constraints, and lead-time requirements. Coordinate secondary process timing, priorities, and due dates with suppliers to ensure alignment with the MPS and customer delivery commitments. Provide schedule performance reports including OTD, WIP, and Schedule Attainment metrics. Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings by representing plant capacity and delivery commitments. Participate in daily production meetings and communicate priorities across departments. Lead or support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to improve scheduling accuracy, lead time, and flow. Maintain documentation of scheduling processes, changes, and configuration revisions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5-8+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably in Aerospace, Defense, or industrial manufacturing. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, painting). Proficient in ERP/MRP systems Epicor Prophet 21 preferred . Experience with Make-to-Order (MTO), Engineer-to-Order (ETO), and Make-to-Stock (MTS) environments. Skilled in analyzing complex BOMs, capacity constraints, and long lead-time materials. Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, and capacity planning principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.APICS/CPIM
