Job Description
Summary The Coordinator of Admissions Operations, reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions, is responsible for designated business operations for all application populations and processes related to the admission process. This includes business process documentation, business process review/implementation, system testing as well as application decision making and management. Additionally, this position will provide support to recruitment functions by counseling students and parents and participating in recruitment activities and functions as deemed necessary. Essential Functions Document business processes and operational functions. Support training function for system and business processes through documentation, communication and in person training sessions. Review business practices and processes related to operations and the system to recommend changes for efficiency/effectiveness. Document business processes and operational functions. Monitor admissions workflows, review of application data, identify efficiencies to implement and areas to streamline processes as able. Utilize system resources such as queries to identify and cleanup records and optimize the admissions process for prospective students and families, school counselors, admissions team members, and campus partners. Coordinate operational support functions for the admissions operations team, including scheduling, team coverage, and triaging inquiries to ensure efficient workflow and continuity of operations. Serve as a key tester for the Office of Admissions for various system upgrades, installation of new software, bundle testing and maintenance. Interact and engage with prospective students and families regarding all aspects of BGSU. Represent BGSU at recruitment events and programs. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications The following Degree is required: Bachelor's degree The following Experience is required: 1 year of experience in operations and/or systems The following Experience is preferred: 1 year of supervision experience Additional Information Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend or implement improvements Ability to interpret data and utilize system tools (e.g., queries, reports) to monitor workflows, identify issues, and support decision-making Strong understanding of how operational processes and system changes impact downstream functions and stakeholders Experience troubleshooting operational or system-related issues and collaborating with functional and technical partners to resolve them This is a full-time position located in Bowling Green, Ohio , which offers the option for a flexible/hybrid work schedule (remote/on-campus).
