The Gas Lift Coordinator optimizes gas lift and plunger lift performance through troubleshooting, production analysis, and field execution. This role serves as a key technical resource to diagnose artificial lift and compression issues, improve well performance, reduce downtime, and support safe, efficient operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong field experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while partnering effectively with operations, engineering, and vendors. This hybrid role combines office-based analysis with frequent field support and travel across the Permian Basin. The Gas Lift Specialist evaluates performance trends, identifies optimization opportunities, and implements practical solutions in the field. Success in this role requires initiative, accountability, adaptability, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to: Troubleshoot gas lift, plunger lift, and compression issues to restore performance and minimize downtime Monitor well and system performance, analyze trends, and identify optimization opportunities Conduct field investigations on underperforming wells, failed equipment, and operational bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions Provide technical support to field operations on artificial lift performance, equipment issues, and best practices Coordinate with production, engineering, field personnel, and vendors to execute repairs and system improvements Implement solutions to improve production performance, reduce issues, and enhance system reliability Recommend process and equipment improvements to strengthen lift system performance Maintain documentation, communicate findings, and support continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 5+ years of oil and gas field operations experience, with direct experience supporting artificial lift systems Hands-on experience with gas lift, plunger lift, and compressor operations Strong field operations background with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment and production issues in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with a focus on safety, accountability, and results
Preferred Qualifications:
