Nights and Weekends Position Summary Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and maintaining caregiver schedules to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality care. This position works closely with caregivers, clients, and office staff to fill open shifts, manage schedule changes, and respond to call-outs while maintaining compliance with company policies and client care needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and maintain caregiver schedules for client assignments. Match caregivers with clients based on availability, skills, location, and client preferences. Monitor daily schedules to ensure all shifts are covered. Respond promptly to caregiver call-outs and arrange replacement coverage. Communicate schedule changes to caregivers, clients, and office staff. Confirm caregiver availability and update scheduling systems accordingly. Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation. Assist with onboarding new caregivers by coordinating availability and initial client assignments. Monitor overtime and work hours to ensure compliance with company policies. Work collaboratively with care managers, branch managers, and recruiting staff to meet staffing needs. Address client and caregiver scheduling concerns in a professional and timely manner. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous scheduling experience preferred, preferably in home care, healthcare, or staffing. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and computer systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional and customer-service-oriented attitude. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle last-minute schedule changes. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to build positive relationships with caregivers and clients. Understanding of home care regulations and scheduling best practices is preferred.
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
