We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Support Coordinator to join our airline operations team. This role is essential in supporting daily operational activities, coordinating communication between departments, monitoring operational performance, and assisting with flight support functions to ensure safe and efficient airline operations. Position Summary The Operations Support Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the airline's Operations Control Center (OCC), Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Dispatch, Maintenance Control, and station teams. This role assists with operational coordination, schedule monitoring, reporting, crew support, documentation management, and communication during normal and irregular airline operations. The coordinator plays an important role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting on-time performance, and ensuring accurate operational reporting. The position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when operational disruptions occur. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Coordination Support daily airline operational activities across domestic and international charter operations. Monitor flight schedules, operational updates, delays, cancellations, and aircraft movements. Coordinate communication between dispatch, stations, maintenance control, crew scheduling, and airport personnel. Assist with operational resource coordination to support efficient flight operations. Help ensure operational readiness for scheduled departures and arrivals. Monitor operational systems and provide real-time support during active flight operations. Flight Operations Support Assist flight crews with operational documentation and coordination requirements. Support dispatch and operational control personnel with flight-related administrative tasks. Coordinate operational information updates and distribute notifications to relevant departments. Maintain operational awareness of weather conditions, route impacts, airport restrictions, and operational changes. Assist with flight following and operational tracking activities. Administrative Support Prepare operational reports, spreadsheets, logs, and daily summaries. Maintain operational records and documentation in compliance with company procedures. Assist with data entry, scheduling updates, and operational reporting functions. Support department managers with administrative coordination and project tracking. Maintain organized records for operational audits and compliance reviews. Irregular Operations (IROPS) Support Assist with operational recovery during delays, diversions, weather events, and cancellations. Coordinate communication during operational disruptions. Support passenger recovery coordination and operational response activities. Escalate operational issues to management when necessary. Assist with emergency response coordination and operational contingency planning. Compliance & Safety Ensure operational activities comply with FAA regulations, TSA requirements, and company procedures. Promote a strong operational safety culture. Support operational audits and compliance initiatives. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of operational information. Assist with incident reporting and operational follow-up activities. Vendor & Station Coordination Coordinate with airport stations, service providers, and operational vendors. Assist with logistics coordination for charter and special operations. Monitor operational service performance and report deficiencies. Maintain communication with station personnel regarding operational updates. QualificationsRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in airline operations, airport operations, operations support, dispatch support, or aviation administration. Strong understanding of airline operational procedures. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced operational environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and airline operational systems. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Ability to maintain professionalism under operational pressure. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an airline Operations Control Center (OCC). Familiarity with charter airline operations. Knowledge of FAA operational regulations. Experience with crew scheduling, dispatch support, or flight tracking systems. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish preferred).
