The Opportunity:
Scheduling Specialist Level II, Pre-Access is responsible for scheduling duties for patients for services at an Ensemble Health Partners client. Provides mentoring and coaching to other schedulers, trains new hires, works with leadership to ensure training and follow-up after training is appropriate for new hires, and answers questions from staff regarding operations. Scheduling Specialists Level II are to perform these functions while meeting the mission and goals of the client and all regulatory compliance requirements. They will work within the policies and processes as they are being performed across the organization. This position pays between $18.65-20.50/hour based on experience
Essential Job Functions:
Scheduling and pre-registering patient for the appropriate procedures based on physicians' orders. Selecting accurate medical records for patient safety and providing proper patient instructions while providing excellent customer service. Scheduling/pre-registration also includes maintaining a 95% quality rating and meeting appropriate productivity metrics. Mentoring and training other schedulers, including answering questions, providing coaching, and working with management to ensure the transition from training to scheduling full-time goes smoothly. Point of service collections and financial counseling functions as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned
Experience We Love:
1 to 3 Years experience in a healthcare setting. High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or willing to obtain within 9 months of employment Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
