Medical Scheduler

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing schedules, and ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded. This role is crucial in providing excellent patient care and maintaining efficient office operations within a dental clinic or hospital setting. Duties Schedule and confirm patient appointments in a timely manner using scheduling software. Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, including follow-up calls and reminders. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize scheduling efficiency and accommodate patient needs. Serve as a point of contact for patients, answering inquiries related to appointments, procedures, and office policies. Qualifications Previous experience as a medical scheduler or in a medical office is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
