Job Description
Stolz Telecom - Denton, TX Stolz Telecom is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Field Service Operations Specialist to help support the daily operations of our field service team. This position is responsible for coordinating technician schedules, communicating with customers, answering service calls, creating work tickets, and helping ensure service work is handled efficiently from start to finish. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate clearly with both customers and field technicians. Position Summary The Field Service Operations Specialist serves as a central point of coordination between customers, technicians, project managers, and office staff. This role helps keep field service operations organized by managing incoming service requests, scheduling technicians, updating work tickets, and following up to ensure customer needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys problem-solving, coordinating moving pieces, helping customers, and supporting a technical service team. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming customer calls in a professional and helpful manner Create, update, and manage customer work tickets Gather accurate information from customers regarding service needs, issues, locations, equipment, and urgency Schedule and coordinate field technicians for service calls, repairs, installations, inspections, and maintenance work Communicate appointment times, technician availability, service updates, and follow-up information to customers Monitor technician schedules and adjust appointments as priorities change Maintain communication with technicians throughout the day regarding job status, schedule changes, parts needs, and customer updates Track open service tickets and assist with follow-up to help ensure timely completion Help answer basic customer questions or route questions to the appropriate team member Support project managers, service leadership, and office staff with field service coordination Maintain accurate records in the company's service management or ticketing system Help improve communication, organization, and efficiency within the field service department Desired Qualifications Previous experience in scheduling, dispatching, customer service, service coordination, office administration, or operations support preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional phone etiquette and a customer-first attitude Ability to manage multiple calls, schedules, tickets, and priorities at the same time Strong attention to detail and follow-through Comfortable using computers, email, calendars, and ticketing or service management systems Ability to stay organized and calm in a busy work environment Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with customers, technicians, and internal team members Experience in telecommunications, IT, public safety communications, two-way radio, field service, or technical service industries is a plus, but not required Skills Needed for Success Organization and time management Clear and professional communication Customer service mindset Problem-solving ability Ability to prioritize urgent needs Teamwork and follow-through Accuracy when entering customer and service information About Stolz Telecom Stolz Telecom, an Employee-Owned company, provides communications and technology solutions for customers across Oklahoma and Texas. Work Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00
