Medical Assistant / Scheduler - Denton, TX Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Scheduler to join our Colon & Rectal medical office in Denton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing patient interaction with scheduling coordination and clinical support in a calm, team-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate surgeries efficiently, ensuring accurate communication with physicians and patients Escort patients and prepare them for visits by recording vital signs, medical updates, and medication changes Obtain and organize patient records prior to appointments or procedures Prepare, stock, and disinfect exam and treatment rooms in accordance with protocols Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including documentation as needed Answer patient calls and route inquiries appropriately Communicate reschedules and no-shows to physicians Support administrative functions such as chart prep, filing, faxing, and reception tasks Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (required) 2-3 years of experience as a scheduler and/or medical assistant Experience using the Athena system Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
