This is a standalone position responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules across extrusion, furnace, rolling mill, and wire drawing operations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of independently managing production scheduling in a complex manufacturing environment, balancing customer demand, capacity constraints, inventory requirements, and operational priorities without dedicated analyst or planning support. Success in this role requires strong decision-making, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve scheduling challenges that impact production performance and customer deliveries. Additional Key Responsibilities Independently own all production scheduling and planning activities for the facility. Evaluate production capacity and make scheduling decisions without dedicated planning analyst support. Serve as the primary point of contact for production scheduling, order prioritization, and capacity planning. Develop scheduling strategies that maximize equipment utilization while meeting customer delivery commitments. Identify bottlenecks and implement scheduling adjustments to improve throughput and operational efficiency. Provide leadership with production forecasts, capacity assessments, and recommendations for schedule optimization. Additional Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of production scheduling, production planning, or manufacturing operations experience in a complex manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience independently managing scheduling functions for a manufacturing facility or major production operation. Strong understanding of capacity planning, workflow management, inventory control, and production constraints. Proven ability to make sound decisions and prioritize competing demands with minimal supervision. Experience supporting multiple production departments, manufacturing processes, or continuous operations. They possess the confidence and experience to manage scheduling decisions independently, communicate effectively with production leadership, and drive operational efficiency in a demanding 24/7 manufacturing environment.
