Full Job Description Description:
The Purchasing Expeditor is responsible for timely confirmation of Purchase Orders and Expediting critical parts for all allocations (Sales Orders & Manufacturing Jobs). You will interact with the Customer Service, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Accounting teams to assist as needed. This job is critical to Innovative-IDM to ensure we are meeting or exceeding the expectations of our customers by providing delivery status. The person filling this role will also be required to become proficient in Order Entry and Purchasing.
Responsibilities:
Confirm Innovative-IDM Purchase Orders with Vendors. Update Customer Sales Orders as needed and send email notifications to customers. Update Production regarding delivery dates of manufacturing components. Placing orders, scheduling parts in a timely and consistent manner. Verify pricing and delivery for customer orders. Locate alternate suppliers for items with delivery and/or pricing issues. Utilize daily reports to ensure timely delivery. Brings problems and solutions to the attention of the manager; is willing to ask for help. Respond to voicemail and email within a timely manner. Processes credit card authorizations and creates invoices for products purchased. Identifies and introduces new ideas and solutions to create efficiency in the operation. Follows all procedures as detailed in customer service operations policies and guidelines. Create Purchase Orders and Sales Orders in a timely manner with Accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to type 40+ WPM. Possesses a guest service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the customer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter who works independently and is self-motivated. Energetic, innovative, and flexible. Exhibits creativity and tenacity to drive through to effective solutions to data entry challenges. Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations. Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency. Well organized and detail oriented. Forms strong working relationships within team. Identifies additional tasks to be completed and willingly assists others. Strong computer skills required. Follows direction with focused attention. Sales Orders and Purchase Orders created in a timely manner. Ensures all customer orders are entered in our ERP system within 1 hour for standard orders and 20 minutes on rush orders. Prepares invoices within 24 hours of product shipment from warehouse. Accurately complete Late Sales Order report for future shipments. Meets assigned deadlines and tasks, often earlier than planned.
Experience & Education:
1+ Years of related experience. High school diploma or equivalent.
