This vital role involves coordinating various aspects of warehouse distribution, transportation management, procurement, and inventory control to ensure seamless operations. By leveraging their expertise in supply chain management and data analysis, the Operations Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing operational performance and delivering exceptional service. This role will report directly to the Operations Manager, and assist with any other duties requested. Duties Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce discrepancies Coordinate transportation planning and logistics activities Manage procurement processes by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing purchasing activities to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies, implementing process improvements to prevent recurrence Collaborate with vendors, 3PL providers, and freight carriers to optimize freight costs and delivery schedules Support demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory control strategies using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to align supply with customer demand Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution, logistics, and inventory control practices Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as SAP or AS400, and transportation management systems (TMS) Strong data analysis skills with experience using SQL, Tableau, or similar tools for reporting and process improvement insights Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, vendor management, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts is preferred Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysis and process optimization Ability to work collaboratively across teams including purchasing, logistics, production planning, and vendor relations Strong communication skills with the capacity to negotiate effectively and manage supplier relationships Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods of time, or any other physical requirements to stock inventory on shelves Join us as an Operations Coordinator to be at the forefront of streamlining supply chain operations!
