Job Description
The Planner / Scheduler for Semiconductor Projects is Responsible for the development, maintenance, and control of integrated project schedules to ensure all activities, deliverables, and resource plans are aligned with project scope, sequencing, and execution strategy. This role ensures that schedule performance, progress, and productivity are accurately tracked, analyzed, and communicated to support successful delivery of large-scale semiconductor construction projects. Key Responsibilities Schedule Development & Control Develop and maintain detailed, logic-driven project schedules using Project software Establish and manage baseline schedules aligned with project scope and execution strategy Ensure all activities, durations, and resource loading align with approved budgets and plans Maintain schedule integrity, including critical path and float analysis Progress Monitoring & Reporting Update schedules regularly with actual progress and forecast impacts Prepare and issue variance reports for delayed or at-risk milestones Develop and distribute lookahead schedules (2-week / 6-week) Produce schedule performance, productivity, and efficiency reports Project Controls & Risk Integration Track progress against scope, hours, and budgets to ensure alignment with project controls Identify schedule risks, constraints, and recovery opportunities Support change management through schedule impact analysis Partner with cost controls to align schedule forecasts with financial performance Stakeholder Coordination Communicate schedule status, risks, and impacts to Project Manager and Project Controls leadership Lead or support schedule review meetings with internal teams and clients Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to validate sequencing Confidently present and defend schedule logic and assumptions to stakeholders Field Integration Maintain strong awareness of construction scope and field execution Validate installed progress and ensure accurate schedule updates Translate field conditions into schedule adjustments and recovery plans Leadership & Support Provide guidance and mentorship to junior planners and project controls personnel Support continuous improvement of scheduling processes and reporting standards Perform additional duties as required to support project delivery Safety & Quality Responsibilities Comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards Maintain adherence to project quality systems and reporting requirements Take responsibility for safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture Qualifications & Experience Required 5+ years of experience in project planning/scheduling within construction or industrial environments Advanced proficiency in Project software Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling Experience tracking progress, productivity, and schedule performance Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Experience supporting semiconductor, data center, or large-scale industrial projects Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Experience integrating schedule with cost control / project controls systems Field experience or strong understanding of construction execution Planner/Scheduler Novus Technical Sevices 25700 Interstate 45 Ste 4058, The Woodlands, TX 77386 $110,000
