Full Job Description Medical Scheduler Location:
Webster, TX 77598 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team in Webster, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing schedules for medical staff, and ensuring a smooth and efficient scheduling process to enhance patient experience and clinic operations. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Coordinate with medical providers and staff to manage daily schedules and appointment availability. Confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or text reminders. Assist patients with rescheduling or cancellations as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to scheduling and general patient information. Update and maintain accurate patient records and appointment logs. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and communication. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus. Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems and scheduling software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage.
