Provides care in a manner that meets or exceeds expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and complete staffing schedules to ensure resident cares are able to be completed according to the resident care plan. 2. Coordinate resident care plans from semi-annual assessments, before admit day and if a significant change requires new assessment. 3. Resident Care and Service Plan implementation on admit, the day of a significant change and every 6 months. 4. Assist residents in the use of adaptive equipment and training of direct staff. 5. Train med techs. 6. Provide on-the-job training and supervision of direct care staff. 7. Assess all potential residents for ongoing appropriateness of placement. 8. Communicate with Administrator regarding any resident/family member issues, concerns or questions. 9. Participate in in-service training programs for all staff. 10. Ensure that the community is in compliance with assisted living rules and regulations pertaining to resident care. 11. Maintain good working relationship with residents, resident family members, all staff, and the community at large. 12. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
1. Must be 21 years of age or older 2. Must be licensed in the State of Utah as an CNA - or be willing to obtain within 90 days of hire. 3. Must have prior work experience in caring for the elderly 4. Must have prior supervisory experience for at least 2 years in an assisted living community or other health care setting. 5. Must have current CPR and First Aide certification; food handlers permit; recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of hire. 6. Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff. 7. Ability to read and understand facility policies and comply with them while on the job.
