Fibertek is seeking an Action Officer/Scheduler to serve as a critical support resource to the Project Lead and Chief Engineer within the Air & Ground Imaging Sensors Division (AGISD), Research & Technology Integration Directorate, US Army
DEVCOM C5ISR
Center located in Fort Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate will work independently while maintaining close coordination with leadership (meeting daily or bi-daily) to ensure alignment on project priorities, schedule execution, and action item resolution.
Essential Job Duties:
Capture comprehensive meeting minutes, executive summaries, and record critical decisions. Track action items from initial capture through closure, actively following up with task owners to ensure timely completion. Escalate at-risk items, schedule bottlenecks, or resource conflicts to project leadership when necessary. Draft, format, and review project correspondence, briefing decks, and memorandums for government leadership. Facilitate communication across the team and manage project documentation/knowledge repositories (e.g., Point). Develop and maintain the project's Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Microsoft Project. Provide regular, accurate schedule status reports and updates to stakeholders. Perform schedule analysis (e.g., tracking the critical path) to identify early warning signs of schedule slippage. Work with task owners to accurately estimate durations and integrate sub-tasks into the overarching master schedule.
Job Requirements:
Experience and Expertise Required:
Bachelor's degree preferred, equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of 5+ years of experience. Active Secret clearance preferred, ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is required. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams. Experience with Microsoft Project, Point, or other scheduling and collaboration tools is a plus. Experience preparing professional correspondence, reports, briefings, and meeting documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
