ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have established themselves as one of the most recognizable brands in Minor League Baseball since their inaugural season in 2010. Guided by three pillars - be different, be impactful and have FUNN - the organization has ingrained itself in Central Virginia, annually reaching more than 10,000 students through the club's education programs while making 400-plus community appearances. Additionally, the team has renovated multiple youth baseball and softball fields across the city and awarded numerous scholarships through its 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Flying Squirrels Charities. The Flying Squirrels consistently rank among the top-drawing teams in MiLB having led all 30 Double-A teams in total and average attendance each of the past four seasons.JOB SUMMARY
The Stadium Operations Coordinator plays a key role in the successful execution of all games and events at CarMax Park. This position is responsible for supporting event setup, breakdown, and venue conversions while ensuring all stadium areas are clean, safe, and fully operational. This role requires a hands-on, team-oriented individual who can respond to operational needs in a fast-paced environment and help deliver a high-quality experience for guests, staff, and partners.RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Address general stadium maintenance, cleanliness, and operational needs across the facility, including responses to requests from management, vendors, and event staff, as well as routine proactive upkeep. Some of these responsibilities include basic repairs (plumbing, lighting, signage), landscaping support, trash removal, patching minor issues, changing light bulbs, hanging items as needed, and moving equipment and materials throughout the stadium. Support the setup, execution, and breakdown of all games and events at CarMax Park, including concerts, sporting events, corporate functions, and community events. Inspect concourse, seating bowl, and suites to ensure all equipment, furniture, and systems (HVAC, lighting, fixtures) are properly reset and operational. Set up and break down tables, chairs, stages, risers, pipe and drape, and other event equipment as needed. Perform routine and preventive maintenance and support field operations (including tarp deployment/removal) to ensure safe and efficient facility operations, including snow and ice removal. Ensure non-F&B stanchions and equipment are properly placed for each event or game. Distribute promotional items and support fan-facing activations on game and event days. Set-up signage, banners, and other conversion responsibilities from one event or game to another. Coordinate specific areas of CarMax Park to align with the themed event for the day. Complete scheduled supply runs, including CO2 for in-game features. All other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
