What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: Load and unload trucks using a forklift or overhead crane Ensure optimal use of warehouse space and place merchandise in designated locations Receive goods and verify their accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes Inform the warehouse manager of any discrepancies between the receiving slip and the purchase order Palletize and pack parts and air handling units for shipment, ensuring adherence to shipping instructions Wrap air handling units using plastic film Load ventilation units onto a flatbed truck using an overhead crane What we are looking for (Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, Education) We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience & Skills High school diploma 2 to 3 years of warehouse experience Valid forklift operator's license, an asset Strong organizational skills, methodical approach, and ability to work quickly and efficiently Responsible, self-motivated, and a good team player Valid Class 1 driver's license, an asset Knowledge and practical experience with standard computer applications Good physical ability to lift heavy objects Crane Safety knowledge/experience helpful Travel & Working Environment Manufacturing plant environment How we live our culture Our culture is at the center of what we do and, more importantly, who we are.
