Job Description

Job Summary:
A ShippingReceiving Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the shipping and receiving of goods and materials within an organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Packaging:
Pull and prepare packaging for shipments Verify documents and labels to product shipping Assemble, label, and package product Use of manipulator lifting devices for handling heavy products. Ability to lift 50 lbs. required Pallet stacking, banding, and stretch wrapping Use of pallet jack to stage products for shipping and load trucks
Receiving:
Use of pallet jacks to unload trucks Verify counts Check for damage to delivered products Report discrepancies or damage to supervisor
Recycle:
Verify packing lists to products being received Match serial number of products to database and receive Use of manipulator lifting devices for handling heavy products. Ability to lift 50 lbs. required Stack, strap, and wrap outbound shipments Use of pallet jack to stage products for shipping and load trucks
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
