1st Shift UPS Shuttle Shipping Clerk/Warehouse Worker - Start Asap Job Description This role supports a busy distribution facility that manufactures automotive parts by performing shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties on 1st shift. You will load and unload trucks, pick and package orders using RF scanners and rolling stairs, restock inventory, and assist warehouse leadership to ensure accurate and timely shipment of automotive products. Responsibilities Receive incoming materials and restock inventory accurately in designated locations. Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently. Break down boxes and package items securely for shipment according to company standards. Use rolling stairs, order pickers, and RF scanners to locate, pick, and fulfill customer orders. Pick automotive parts from various heights, including using rolling stairs that may range from 7 to 15 steps. Assist Warehouse Supervisors and other team members as needed to meet daily operational goals. Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying quantities and item accuracy. Perform order pulling and staging of products for outbound shipments. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of packaging materials and breaking down boxes. Follow all safety procedures when using equipment such as rolling safety ladders and when working around forklifts and other machinery. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations. Work independently with minimal supervision while staying self-motivated and task-focused. Essential Skills Experience working in a warehouse, shipping, or distribution environment. Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes. Ability to use RF scanners to pick and fulfill orders. Experience with order pulling and basic inventory handling. Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Comfort using rolling safety ladders approximately 5-7 steps high and willingness to occasionally use taller ladders as needed for shipping. Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms throughout the shift. Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat to access product and complete tasks. Ability to speak, read, and write in English to follow instructions, labels, and documentation. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining productivity. Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a distribution center that supports the automotive industry is beneficial. Prior forklift exposure is helpful; on-the-job forklift training is available after hire by the company. General knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping. Reliability and punctuality to support 1st shift operations, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. The role is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed, and a regular schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will frequently use RF scanners, rolling stairs, and other standard warehouse equipment while moving throughout the facility. The dress code requires a plain shirt with no logos related to alcohol, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes to support a safe and professional workplace.
