We sell the LFC biodigesters globally to companies that want to divert waste from a landfill and greatly reduce their carbon footprint. LFC biodigesters vary in size and weigh from 20 kg to 1200 kg. The Kind of Person we Need We have an opportunity for a person who is energetic and conscientious. The person must be able to follow instructions clearly and ensure that he or she is always doing the best quality job possible. This is an hourly paid position. Work hours are 07:00 to 15:30 M-F with the possibility of overtime as required. Summary Tasks We need a warehouse associate who can undertake the following tasks: Loading and Unloading Use a pallet jack or forklift to load products or parts on to trucks and to offload incoming goods. Sorting and Categorizing Open boxes of received goods. Verify against packing lists. Ensure with management that the correct parts are received. Inspect product for any abnormalities and notify management of any issues. Store parts in their proper place in the stock room. Shipping Ensure small parts are properly packaged and identified. Ship with appropriate driver for collection. Inventory Maintain the stock room neat and tidy. Pull parts as needed for kits. Count parts and provide notice to management when running low. Warehouse (if needed) Understand layout of the facility to ensure proper product flow. Maintain its cleanliness by sweeping up and where necessary mopping the floor. Maintain a safe and clean work area. Other Other warehouse duties as required Language Requirements Must be able to operate from work instructions both written and verbal in English Skill Requirements Must be comfortable and capable to use company ERP system for receiving goods (training provided) Must be capable of operating a pallet jack Must be able to operate a strapping tool Must be conversant with the metric system of measurements (kg and metre) Must be capable of using a variety of mechanical hand tools Must be capable of using a variety of power tools, including screwdrivers, saws, grinders, and drills Must have the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 kg Prefer to be capable of operating a fork lift with care and precision Environment Must be able to climb ladders, step ladders, and work at heights of 1.5 m or higher Work in area with the rear door open and without air conditioning Perform limited, intermittent physical exertion, and be able to work on knees or climbing Work under conditions with some distraction due to occasional exposure to outdoor weather, water, fumes, dust, noise, heat, odors, or chemicals, glues, and inks Perform work around and with pallet jacks, hoists, and forklifts Education and Experience Minimum of one year of related warehouse duties High school diploma or equivalent Additional Requirements May be required to stand, push, pull, and reach for extended periods Must ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment Must wear steel cap shoes at all times, to be provided by yourself Must wear other appropriate protective gear and clothing as necessary Shall be flexible to work in various departments based on demand needs Have knowledge of basic computer functions
