Full-Time Overview Resco Food Service LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver / Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our Receiving and Warehouse team. In this important role, you will be responsible for receiving incoming products, checking the quality and quantity of merchandise, verifying product information, and helping maintain accurate inventory records. Your attention to detail and sense of responsibility will help ensure that products are received correctly, inventory is accurate, and warehouse/store operations run smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, responsible, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced grocery and warehouse environment. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments from vendors, suppliers, and delivery drivers. Inspect, verify, and document received products accurately. Check product quantity against invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, or receiving records. Inspect product quality, condition, packaging, expiration dates, freshness, and overall appearance when applicable. Identify and immediately report damaged, missing, incorrect, expired, or poor-quality products to management. Maintain the correctness and accuracy of product inventory by verifying item descriptions, quantities, product details, and receiving records. Ensure received products are properly organized and moved to the correct department, warehouse area, cooler, freezer, or sales floor. Assist with loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and palletizing merchandise as needed. Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment if trained and authorized. Communicate with buyers, department managers, warehouse staff, and supervisors regarding receiving or inventory issues. Follow company procedures for receiving, inventory control, product handling, and food safety. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area. Report any product damage, receiving discrepancy, safety issue, or workplace accident immediately. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, grocery, inventory, logistics, or food distribution preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately check product quality, quantity, and product information. Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and identify receiving discrepancies. Ability to perform basic math calculations for quantity checks, counts, and inventory verification. Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, stocking, palletizing, and warehouse organization preferred. Pallet jack or forklift experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to lift, carry, move, and stack products up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical work for extended periods. Must be reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to follow instructions. Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, warehouse, and receiving areas as needed. Basic English required; bilingual English/Chinese or English/Spanish is a plus. Work Environment This position is performed in a grocery warehouse and receiving environment. The employee may be required to work in cold areas, including coolers and freezers. Company-provided supplies and protective equipment will be provided when required.
