Job Description
Shipping and Warehouse Lula's Chocolates - Ryan Ranch - Monterey Looking for a Shipper or Shipping Manager to work immediately. Monday through Friday (some Saturdays in November and December required) Responsible for various tasks such as packaging, verifying content for shipping, receiving packages, ordering supplies and keeping the warehouse clean. Their main goal is to always ensure outgoing orders are correct, arrive on time, and arrive in perfect condition, not melted. They will oversee team performance, shipping of goods, and organized warehouse storage. This position is physical and requires standing for the majority of the day. Drivers license required for deliveries in our Mercedes Sprinter van to deliver orders to our retail stores and wholesalers. The Shipping clerk needs to communicate effectively between Production and Sales team members, as well as with customers. Computer skills are needed to operate the FedEx shipping software, Microsoft Navision, and navigate Google applications. Looking for someone with a long term commitment and the flexibility to work more hours during the busier holiday season in November and December, February and beyond. Previous shipping experience is preferred. General knowledge of geography and weather patterns needed and bilingual Spanish is a plus. $17 - $22+ an hour based on experience and value added. Opportunities for growth within the company as we're looking for a Shipping Manager. Able to lift 60 - 70 lbs Forklift driving experience is preferred, but not required Keeps his/her warehouse area clean and orderly Highly organized individual Able to interact with others well Must have California drivers license and provide current DMV printout upon request Strong computer knowledge required Because chocolate absorbs smells we are a strict non-smoking employer.
