Shipping Clerk

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse distribution operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment within a thriving logistics operation. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm $17.50 HR Responsibilities Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and securely packed using appropriate packaging materials. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts to load, unload, and move inventory safely and efficiently. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately. Pick, pack, and organize orders with precision using order pickers and order scanners to meet delivery deadlines. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using basic math skills to check quantities and item details; receive goods into the system via AS400 or similar platforms. Maintain clean, organized storage areas by stocking shelves systematically and conducting regular stock checks for inventory accuracy. Assist with load & unload activities during shipping and receiving processes while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Prior warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures is highly preferred. Valid certification or experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks; forklift certification is a plus. Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) software such as AS400 is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for order picking, packing, and inventory management tasks. Basic math skills for verifying quantities, measurements, and calculations related to shipments. Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely in a fast-paced environment while following safety guidelines. Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes including order fulfillment, stocking, packaging, and load & unload procedures.
