SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK

Salary Range:

$19-$21/hr SUMMARY Receive, store, and issue stock material and components. Package and ship finished product to Military/ Aerospace customers. Record all receiving, shipping and inventory transactions within the MRP/ERP system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive Purchase Order deliveries and ensure that items and quantities are correct. Administer inventory transactions using the company MRP system (SYTELINE). Communicate with shipping carriers, print shipping labels and fill out all appropriate shipping documents. Accurately count, label and bag incoming material into inventory. Will be required to pull raw material kits to support production requirements and schedule. Conduct weekly cycle counts and assist during annual inventory. Package outgoing material and finished product per spec. and customer requirements. May be asked to perform other duties.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

High School diploma/GED Required. APICS Certification preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of basic mathematics. Must be fluent in oral and written English. Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have basic computer experience. Must have three years prior experience working with

MRP/ ERP

systems. Additional experience working on Military/Defense/Aerospace product is desirable. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, and lift 25 lbs. or less. Must have the ability to climb a stair ladder. Must be US citizen.

SKILLS & ABILITY EXPECTATIONS

Knowledge of standard safety procedures is required. Understanding of ERP system and Microsoft Office products; strong computer skills. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to drive a forklift. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines. Good phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities. Demonstrate personal time management skills. Set the example by actively contributing to department and company goals. Take initiative and seek additional training or direction as needed.
