Job Description
The purpose of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position is to ensure all the data entry, scheduling updates, and shipping documents are processed accurately within the Shipping & Receiving areas to support daily warehouse or distribution center operations. Responsibilities Ensure all data entry, scheduling updates and shipping documents are processed accurately to support daily warehouse operations. First line of communication between customer and company Prioritize and process both Inbound and Outbound paperwork and BOLs (Bill of Lading) Assist in maintaining consistent flow of freight for timely outbound/inbound processing Maintain audit integrity in accordance with physical contents for all freight received Assist in the movement of freight when needed and as directed for outbound/inbound processing Aid Inventory Control to complete monthly cycle counts and update system accordingly Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent customer service skills Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills Strong verbal & written communication skills Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information Knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office Software Knowledge or ability to learn other computer programs as needed (SAP, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), etc.) Ability to work in a clean and organized manner Ability to multi-task Competitive Compensation We believe in rewarding excellence.
