We work to ensure that community-sourced donations are passed on to those who will appreciate them in turn. A majority of these proceeds are used to benefit the public libraries of Marin County. All applicants are welcome, but in particular, those with a fondness for books or an interest in small business operations can use their passion to give back to local communities. We are in need of a Shipping Clerk and Packer. Your energy and precision will drive the seamless movement of goods from our warehouse to our customers. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate order fulfillment, efficient packing, and safe shipping processes. Your proactive approach will help maintain high standards of accuracy and productivity, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This position offers a fast-paced environment where your skills in warehouse management and shipping operations will shine. Duties Prepare and pack products with care, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and securely packaged for shipment Use warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory levels, process orders, and update shipment statuses Pick orders accurately using order picker tools and ensure timely fulfillment for e-commerce and distribution channels Load and unload trucks safely while adhering to safety protocols and proper handling procedures Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against purchase orders and documentation Place merchandise in our warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them Minimum Qualifications English fluency, both spoken and written Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Moderate tech-savviness:

familiarity with universal keyboard shortcuts, constructing search parameters, and entering data into spreadsheets. No coding expertise necessary Strong prioritization skills Ability to work without direct supervision Ability to communicate issues as they arise and ask for guidance Availability at 3 PM on some weekdays to hand off outgoing shipments Experience Previous warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution environments Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) software is highly desirable Experience in order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes within an e-commerce or distribution setting Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy in stock handling and order fulfillment Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute their warehouse expertise in a small business setting.
