Job Description

Job Title:
Shipping Associate Job Description The Shipping Associate will play a vital role in supporting the logistics and operations of a prominent manufacturer of electrical connectors used for drilling oil and gas wells. This position is a 4-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance, to cover a medical leave. The role involves working closely with the customer service team to ensure accurate packaging and shipping of products. Responsibilities Meet with the customer service team each morning to review in-stock parts using spreadsheets. Pull parts from spreadsheets and package them in individual boxes. Provide weight and dimensions for each part using a scale and tape measure. Focus exclusively on shipping products, as receiving responsibilities are handled by a different associate. Stand for 8 hours a day, collaborating with a team of three other shipping associates. Assist with cable cutting and delivering them to various production cells. Lift boxes weighing up to 100 lbs onto pallet jacks and carts. Operate a sit-down forklift to transport cables to measuring machines. Pull cables off a rail, coil them, and secure with tape to prevent unraveling. Perform other related duties as required. Essential Skills Experience with SAP, shipping, and forklift operation. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with computers and familiarity with SAP or Excel. Comfortable with standing for 8 hours a day and lifting boxes up to 75 lbs. Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be a US Citizen due to government contract work. Must pass a 7-year background check and a 5-panel drug test. Willingness to commit to the assignment for a minimum of 6 months, with potential for full-time conversion. Ability to verify serial numbers and track orders accurately. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
