Job Description

Position Overview Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a diligent and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their client's dynamic team in Scotts Valley, California. This role is essential in managing daily logistics operations, ensuring that products and materials are efficiently moved in and out of the facility. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, playing a crucial part in maintaining smooth operations within the materials department. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips. Accurately document and label incoming and outgoing goods. Prepare and package outbound shipments in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. Sort, package, label, and deliver products to appropriate departments, such as stock, work orders, or special orders. Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and drivers. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (certification may be required). Communicate with internal teams such as purchasing, quality, production, and customer service to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials. Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems or shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, ERP systems). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Experience with international shipments is a plus. Forklift certification is a plus. Required Work Hours Monday

  • $26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Additional Details This position requires work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical activity. Proper safety equipment and training will be provided. Job duties may expand based on business needs.
