Full Job Description Description:
SUMMARY The Shipping Associate will work with a team of material handlers that receives, stores, and prepares finished products for shipment to customers. They will also interface with internal/external customers, vendors, and delivery companies including GCM Drivers to deliver parts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Kit, package, palletize, run packing slips/certs and ship orders to customers locally as well as long distance. Obtain certs from document control. Maintain inventory control Assure data is correctly captured in ERP system Plan transportation of shipments Maintain packaging supplies Assure quality packaging and shipment of orders Collaborate with Customer Service May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machine; may operate company vehicle to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area. Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers Performs other related duties assigned
Requirements:
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent 2-4 years of progressive experience working in domestic and international shipping Prior ERP Software experience Forklift driving experience Clean driving record and may provide backup to GCM Drivers DESIRED Someone who proactively addresses concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting business Someone who is personally committed to owning the outcome of identified results with a proven record of success and ownership when achieving goals A strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a team A problem solver with a solution focused mindset
