Job Description

Shipping Clerk 1st Shift Colorado Springs, CO Description Micro Metals is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our manufacturing team. If you enjoy staying organized, working with a team, and ensuring products are shipped accurately and on time, we want to hear from you. As a Shipping Clerk, you'll play a key role in supporting production and customer satisfaction by preparing shipments, maintaining documentation, and ensuring orders leave our facility accurately and efficiently. Requirements What You'll Do Prepare and process customer shipments Verify part numbers, quantities, and shipping documentation Create packing slips, labels, and bills of lading Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet shipping deadlines Load and unload materials as needed Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality Enter and track shipping information in company systems Maintain shipping supplies and a clean, organized work area Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read and interpret packing slips, work orders, and shipping documents Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, data entry, shipping software, and manufacturing/ERP systems Ability to accurately enter, track, and maintain shipping records and documentation Good organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High school diploma or GED required Previous shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred Experience with UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and shipping software preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures while wearing PPE Benefits Overtime opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Stable, year-round work environment today and become part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done right.
