What You'll Do As a Donation Center Team Member, you'll be the first point of contact for donors, creating a positive experience while helping keep donated goods moving efficiently through our operation.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting donors with a friendly, professional attitude Assisting donors with unloading and receiving donated items Providing donation receipts as needed Sorting donations by category and quality standards Staging merchandise in designated containers and processing areas for scheduled truck pickups Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe donation center Identifying items that require special handling or disposition Following safety procedures and donation acceptance guidelines Assisting with lifting, moving, loading, and organizing donated goods Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Lead Donation Center Attendant Responsibilities In addition to the duties listed above, the Lead will: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the donation center Provide direction, training, coaching, and support to team members Ensure efficient donation processing and staging operations Monitor productivity and workflow throughout the facility Coordinate truck pickup requests and operational needs Maintain accurate records and operational reporting Assist with staffing coverage and scheduling needs Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment Serve as the primary point of contact for operational communication and problem resolution What We're Looking For Successful candidates will be: Friendly, dependable, and highly motivated Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Able to provide excellent customer service Organized and attentive to detail Capable of working independently and as part of a team Willing to perform physical work throughout the day Committed to maintaining a safe and positive work environment Preferred Qualifications Previous receiving, warehouse, stock handling, materials handling, logistics, or donation processing experience Prior retail, inventory, or production experience Experience operating in a customer-facing environment Additional Qualifications for the Lead Position Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required Experience training, coaching, and motivating employees preferred Basic computer proficiency, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Schedule Requirements Open availability is strongly preferred. Candidates must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
