SUMMARY :
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to support warehouse operations in Gibsonton, Florida. This role is responsible for receiving incoming materials, verifying shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are properly inspected, documented, labeled, and stored. The Receiving Clerk plays an important role in keeping warehouse operations organized, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
OVERVIEW OF YOUR DAILY TASKS
Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation. Inspect products for accuracy, damage, shortages, or quality concerns and report discrepancies promptly. Unload, sort, label, and organize received materials in designated warehouse locations. Maintain accurate receiving records and assist with inventory updates in company systems. Communicate with purchasing, warehouse, operations, and vendor partners regarding shipment status or issues. Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and warehouse organization as needed. Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow all company safety procedures. Keep receiving areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Support warehouse and operational teams with additional tasks as assigned based on business needs.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE TO HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
Warehouse or receiving experience preferred, ideally in flooring, construction materials, building products, or a related industry. Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify orders, quantities, product information, and shipment documentation accurately. Ability to identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and communicate issues clearly. Basic computer skills and ability to enter information into inventory or warehouse management systems. Strong organization skills and ability to maintain a clean, accurate, and efficient receiving area. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to support operational priorities. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely and follow all company safety guidelines.
