Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that all materials are handled efficiently and safely. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment and has strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders Prepare and process outgoing shipments (packaging, labeling, documentation) Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified) Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems as needed Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight companies) for pickups and deliveries Report damaged or missing items to supervisors Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies Requirements Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred Basic computer skills (inventory systems, data entry) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) Familiarity with shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)

Pay:

$22.20 - $26.80 per hour
