Job Description

Improved Racing is looking for a highly reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive team player to join our fast-paced shipping department. As a Shipping & Receiving Specialist, you will be the final touchpoint before our products reach our customers and global distributors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their accuracy, is comfortable using technology, and thrives in a collaborative environment where team members share the workload evenly to get the job done. Primary Responsibilities Order Fulfillment & Shipping:
Accurately pick, pack, and ship a wide variety of daily orders using handheld Zebra barcode scanners and our inventory management software (Odoo). Evenly share the physical workload with the team, tackling both simple single-item shipments and large, complex multi-item B2B distributor orders without hesitation. Strictly adhere to daily carrier cutoff times (USPS, UPS, Expedited) to ensure priority and same-day shipping expectations are consistently met. Complete forms and documentation required for large freight or international shipments.
Receiving & Inventory Control:
Receive incoming stock: accurately count, label, inspect for quality control, and receive products into the inventory system. Inspect and process customer returns, and assist the sales team in issuing refunds. Communicate proactively with the management and sales teams to resolve inventory discrepancies, stock shortages, or order issues.
Teamwork & Facility Maintenance:
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace in accordance with 5S Workplace Standards. Proactively assist with general warehouse maintenance (sweeping, taking out trash, organizing) during downtime. Cross-train in light product assembly, including putting together hardware kits, packaging products for retail sale, and other related tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Previous shipping/receiving, warehouse, or fulfillment experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right hardworking candidate. Attention to

Extremely high standard for accuracy—perfectionists welcome! You must naturally double-check your work to minimize shipping errors.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficient with computers, typing, and comfortable learning new ERP/inventory software and using handheld digital scanners.
Team-Oriented Work Ethic:
A strong team player who does not shy away from the "heavy lifting" and proactively finds ways to add value without needing to be micromanaged.
Communication:
Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and safely lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs.
Bonus:
Knowledge of or passion for automotive parts and performance racing is a huge plus!
