Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Job Summary:

A Fulfillment Packer fulfills orders, verifies, and keeps records of all outgoing orders, deliveries and shipments and prepares items for such.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Receives and reads customer orders to identify item(s) to be pulled/picked from inventory. Verifies stock availability. Conveys, or prepares orders for wrapping, packing, and shipping and determines method of shipping, amount of postage, and anything else shipping related. Prepares and maintains records. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto packaging. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Informs Supervisor when inventory and supplies are low. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Enjoy working in a team setting and helping other departments when needed. Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to operate the computer system to fulfill orders, and enter information into the computer. Capable of estimating weight and using that information to calculate the cost of shipping. Familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. Proficiency with general navigation of computers preferred. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Self-starter with a positive attitude who can work with many different teams and people.

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
