Job Description
Shipping Clerk Sanford, FL Day Shift This position provides support for the shipping function within the company.
- Assist shipping supervisor with matching purchase orders to sales orders.
- Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
- Handles freight damage claims to resolution.
- Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
- Handles freight damage claims to resolution.
- May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
- Ability to read and write in English.
