Summary:
The Shipping Processor is responsible for executing daily shipping and material handling operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient distribution of products. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational excellence by maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring shipments meet customer and company requirements. Essential Duties; Shipping & Order Fulfillment Process, verify, and prepare outbound shipments in alignment with customer requirements and delivery schedules Pick, pack, label, and stage materials using established procedures and system transactions Generate and review shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips, labels) for accuracy Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure on-time dispatch Inventory & Material Handling Accurately receive, store, and move materials within the facility Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed Organize and maintain warehouse locations to support efficient workflow Quality & Compliance Inspect materials and shipments to ensure quality standards are met Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Ensure proper handling of hazardous or sensitive materials, if applicable Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S principles Systems & Documentation Utilize ERP systems (e.g., NAV) to process shipping transactions Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory movements, and discrepancies Report and resolve shipping or inventory issues in a timely manner Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with production, customer service, and logistics teams to support operational goals Communicate effectively regarding order status, delays, or issues Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow processes Support team initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed Education /
Experience:
High school diploma or GED required 1-3 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or distribution operations preferred Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus Technical Skills Familiarity with warehouse management or ERP systems Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, inventory systems) Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain) Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve discrepancies Strong organizational and time management skills Effective communication and teamwork Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
