About the
Role:
The Puller plays a critical role in the efficient operation of warehouse and distribution centers by accurately retrieving and preparing products for shipment or further processing. This position ensures that inventory is handled with care and that orders are fulfilled promptly to meet customer demands. The Puller collaborates closely with inventory control and shipping teams to maintain seamless workflow and minimize errors. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent damage to goods and ensure a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Puller contributes to the overall success of the supply chain by supporting timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and understand order instructions and product labels. Physical capability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds regularly. Basic experience with warehouse operations or material handling. Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery with valid certification. Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or logistics setting. Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime as needed.
Responsibilities:
Retrieve products from designated storage locations based on order specifications and pick lists. Verify product quantities and quality before moving items to staging or shipping areas. Maintain organized and clean workspaces to promote safety and efficiency. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize orders and resolve any discrepancies.
Skills:
The Puller uses strong organizational skills daily to accurately locate and retrieve products, ensuring orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. Physical stamina and safe material handling techniques are essential to manage the physical demands of lifting and moving inventory. Communication skills facilitate effective coordination with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and address any issues promptly. Basic computer literacy supports the use of inventory management systems to track product movement and update order statuses. Preferred skills such as forklift operation and experience in logistics enhance productivity and contribute to a safer, more streamlined workflow.
