Monday-Friday; schedule varies by warehouse location and may include: 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Seasonal/flexible scheduling ranging from approximately 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. up to 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the daily flow of inbound and outbound freight at our Altoona warehouse operations. This is primarily an office-based position located within a warehouse environment. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk serves as an important link between customers, truck drivers, warehouse employees, and internal teams. The role is responsible for coordinating shipments, monitoring inbound and outbound inventory, maintaining accurate warehouse records, scheduling trucks at dock doors, creating pick and rework tickets, and resolving shipping or inventory discrepancies. Essential Job Functions Monitor inbound and outbound shipments from the shipping and receiving office Assist truck drivers at the shipping/receiving window with arrival, departure, and shipment-related needs Coordinate truck traffic and schedule trucks to appropriate dock doors using Ramp, OpenDoc, Microsoft applications, and other warehouse systems Create, process, and print pick tickets through the WMS based on inventory, repack, rework, and customer needs Complete receiving and shipping transactions within the WMS and maintain accurate inventory and shipment records Monitor product movement and verify inventory against customer and system records Investigate inventory inaccuracies, shipping discrepancies, and product issues and assist with necessary corrections Review inbound deliveries for product accuracy, condition, damage, and other discrepancies Validate outbound shipments against orders and verify product information as required Coordinate with warehouse employees, rework/repack staff, drivers, customers, and internal teams to meet shipping and delivery requirements Respond to customer inquiries regarding inventory, product condition, shipments, and deliveries by phone or email Maintain organized shipping, receiving, inventory, and quality documentation Perform occasional warehouse support, housekeeping, or other duties as assigned Qualifications At least 1 year of experience regularly using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) as part of a previous role Previous shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse administrative experience preferred Strong computer and data-entry skills Comfortable working with Microsoft applications and learning additional warehouse software Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inventory or shipment discrepancies Good written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to communicate professionally with truck drivers, customers, warehouse employees, and internal teams Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment High school diploma or equivalent What This Role Is Like This position is located directly within an active warehouse environment. Employees will spend much of the day working at a computer, communicating with drivers and warehouse personnel, monitoring warehouse activity, and maintaining inventory and shipping records. The position may require walking through the warehouse, inspecting freight, checking inventory, labeling materials, or assisting with other warehouse-related duties.
