This role is responsible for processing a variety of documents required for the shipment of finished goods and the receiving of raw materials in accordance with established procedure. Job Responsibilities Job is an individual contributor. Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials and record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies into the computer system. Prepare outbound product with appropriate seals and labels and stage for pick up using a variety of equipment including scales, postage meters, hand tools, power tools, and hand trucks. Receive inbound deliveries by reviewing contents, order records, manifests, and invoices to verify accuracy of incoming shipment. Record receipts in computer system and arrange for storage according to established procedures. Respond to customer inquiries courteously, accurately, and timely. Investigate a variety of issues including, but not limited to, shipping issues, inventory levels, and costs. Refer complex issues to the next higher level. Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks including filing, sorting, printing, copying, and faxing. Comply with all established organization rules including, but not limited to, work rules, employment policies, safety procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area. This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & Skills 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred. Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products. Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents. Ability to enter data into established computer programs, create simple word processing and spreadsheet documents, correspond by e-mail, and other related computer-based activities. Ability to communicate courteously, clearly, and effectively with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and truck drivers. SAP knowledge is a plus. 1 year of manufacturing or equivalent experience a plus. Bilingual is a plus. Education High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required. Work Environment Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available. Work conditions are typical of an office environment. This role does not require any domestic travel. Position requires the physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring. Position requires the physical ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours.
